I was looking for a Pug for my daughter for Christmas 2004 when I ran across the Ridgley Country Pugs website.  I was concerned about making a purchase on the Internet but couldn't find any Pug puppies locally in time for Christmas.

After talking with Donna Ridgley on the phone I felt comfortable enough to go for it.  As it turned out we could not have found a healthier better looking puppy if we had gone and picked it out ourselves.

Donna followed up to make sure we got our puppy and that all went as planned.  The Ridgley's truly care about their customers and their dogs.  Here it is over a year later and we still correspond via email.  The Ridgley's like to know their pugs are in happy homes and bringing happiness to their customers.

Just before finding Ridgley Country Pugs, I had my heart broken by two different pug breeders who also had many different breeds.  I have learned since being acainted with the Ridgley's that it is best to purchase from someone who only breeds pugs. Our first pug that we purchased came to us with bad skin and coat, a cold and worms.  The breeder told us that all puppies were like that. It has taken us almost 2 years to correct her skin condition. The second pug I purchased had an enlarged heart and had to be put down.  We had a hard time getting our money back even though we had supplied an x-ray with the problems the pug was having. 

The Ridgley's want their puppies to be happy and suited to their new homes.  They want to make sure for the puppy's sake as well as yours.  I found that reassuring.  They treat their pugs as loving members of their family, while also training champions.

My dear sweet Pearl , was "socialized" with love of the breed, and inside their home.  That makes a definite difference, because Pearl came to me expecting love and ready to give love in return. When we are ready to add another sweet pug to our family, it will definitely be Ridgley Country Pugs.

Reading about other pet owners and their results when purchasing their pug is the only way to know what kennel is best for you.  After our experiences, we will only trust the Ridgley's.  They are real people who love their family and most especially their beloved pugs.

My experience with Ridgley Country Pugs has been wonderful from the first day I found their website.  When I was searching for the “Perfect Pugs” I was taken in by the pictures they post of their puppies (past and present).  The first day I called Donna Ridgley we were on the phone for 45 minutes and she was so patient in answering my numerous questions about what to look for when picking out a pug puppy.  The Ridgley's puppies are all a big part of their family, and that was really important to me, because I wanted to make sure they came from a loving home.  I also liked that the Ridgley's encourage people that purchase their puppies to keep in touch and let them know how the puppies are doing.  They truly care and want to make sure their puppies are in good, loving homes.  I can say I'm a proud owner of two beautiful little girls (Sophie and Pearl ) who are now almost 7 months old, and they are healthy, happy little girls thanks to the good care they received with Donna and her family.
